This is an amateur game made with RPG Maker, but I found it well worth playing this story-driven adventure. You'll play a party of heroes looking to find the truth about the Creator's prophecies and, hopefully, end a war. In the meantime, you'll level up your skills and gear and explore a wide landscape with lots of people to chat with. If you like RPGs, try this one. It's free. It does have magic in it, though, so it might not be suitable for all Christians.

This game has a decent story and an animated art style that holds up fairly well. It also has a mix of puzzles, roleplaying, and platforming. Unfortunately, the platforming is rather difficult to control, bringing down the overall gameplay experience.

There are 8 zombies attending church this morning, and one of them is the pastor! They aren't real zombies, though. They're just all in church with the wrong attitude, and you have to shoot chocolate donuts at them so that you can share some Scripture and advice with them. I love the concept, but the game is very short and is more lesson than gameplay. Still, the insights are valuable, so if you're up for paying the rather high download cost, it's worth a playthrough.

Wow! This is an impressive game, and I certainly hope Scarlet City continues the series. Right now, you can play through the first 3 episodes in which you help the Scarlet Man (Jesus) restore The Great Engineer (God the Father) to the throne of this steampunk kingdom. The graphics are great, the gameplay is great, and there is plenty of allegorical content referencing Biblical stories. This is a must-play game for any Christian gamer.

aMazing Bible (Excellent)
This is a different sort of game that has you moving a red and blue ball simultaneously through different mazes as you walk through the Bible. Each maze is different, and you can do different things to get through them, so you won't get bored easily. It's a fun challenge and a review of major portions of the Bible at the same.

Axys Adventures: Truth Seeker (Good, Review)
This is one of the best Christian video games in the Action / RPG genre. The graphics leave a little to be desired (it's a few years old), but the story is intriguing, and the gameplay is phenomenal. You're battling monsters with your sword and figuring out puzzles like you would in the best Action RPG games.

This retro platformer can still be a lot of fun as you play through the stories of Noah's Ark, Baby Moses, and David and Goliath. Just don't expect too much of a challenge.
In this first-person shooter set during the time of Christian persecution under Emperor Marcus Aurelius, you play as a young Christian seeking to rescue your mentor from demon-possessed Roman soldiers. The game is light on story, but it has great gameplay, and the graphics still look pretty good. One plus is that when you defeat a human enemy, they don't die but rather kneel and pray in repentance.
BibleMan: A Fight for the Faith (Good)
Based off of the episode of the series, you play as BibleMan and his teammates, defending the city against the Wacky Professor. Is it campy? Yes! That's part of what makes it fun. Also, the cutscenes are from the TV show, which brings back a lot of nostalgia for certain gamers. The only detriment is that gameplay can be a little slow, as you can only defend rather than attack.

Your mission: infiltrate the arenas to disrupt the sacrifices to Moloch. The gameplay: repetitive. This is mostly a fighting game. The graphics are great, and the ability to upgrade your gear is a plus, but there's not much to the story. This is a very retro-style RPG but has all the classic elements of story, turn-based battles, leveling up, and loot. You play as Jimmy and the friends he gathers in this very Chrisitan adventure. The highlight of the game for me was the battle system, which wasn't very challenging, but it does allow you to aim, and if the enemies are lined up right, you can hit two at once. Still, there are too random many battles to enjoy this combat mechanic for very long. The story itself is fairly interesting if a bit tongue-in-cheek.

those crystals to add more units to your board or purchase upgrades

seen, it's still challenging enough to be fun. Plus, it's free!

This is a beautiful game that, unfortunately (but understandably), has received a lot of hate. You play Joshua, an astronaut, who is taken to Heaven after your ship malfunctions. There, you solve puzzles as you progress deeper and deeper into the landscape of Heaven. It is a very Biblically based game. The problem is that your guide shows a little too much cleavage. But one could argue that in Heaven, we'll all be pure of mind and able to appreciate the beauty of the female form as God created it. Either way, it's definitely worth playing through if you can get past this one visual issue.

Rionon: The Search for the Stone Statue (Excellent)
No, it's not the most technologically advanced game, but the story is very intriguing. You start out on the side of the pagans, looking for your country's stone statue that the Christians supposedly stole. Maybe if you could recover the statue, life in Rionon will turn prosperous again? The gameplay is great, and the whole package is a lot of fun, despite the slightly outdated graphics and development shortcuts.

Enter the mind and heart of a young man battling the temptations of the world! Unfortunately, while this game is built on a neat concept, the gameplay is somewhat lacking. Your weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, which shoots energy bolts.

Sight's Adventure (Poor)
What is going on in this game?! The amateur art style would be charming if I could understand the story. You start walking around your town with no objective of where to go. Along the way, you meet friends and collect different neckties that give you different abilities. At certain points, you have to answer a trivia question based on a Bible verse. I feel like there's the beginnings of something worth playing here, but for now, it's all just a bit too random.

Super Bible Trivia (Excellent)
There are a lot of Christian trivia games, but this one stands out for its mini-games. Like some of the other trivia games above, this one uses a game show theme that you can play solo or versus other players. This is a fun game to play if you're just looking to slash some enemies. You will pick up pieces of the armor of God to buff you, and you get a little teaching when you do, along with the story setup at the beginning of each level. But mostly, it's you hacking your way through the maps. The gameplay isn't particularly challenging, though, so there's not much replay value. The graphics are still decent considering the time it was released.
One interesting facet of this game is that you can play from a Fallen Angel's perspective, which can raise some questions about what their motives are and were.
