Fun Biblical Games for Adults and Children - Board, Card, Party, and Video Games
These are my top picks out of the Biblical games (games based strictly on the Bible) across the site. If you're looking a broader range of Christian games, please check my other pages.
Bible Board Games for Adults
The Acts Board Game (Good)
Help
spread the Good News and earn victory points at the same time! In this
Bible game, you gain points by spreading out on the map or increasing
your number of followers in a region depending on the strategies you
employ and the cards you draw. It's a fun game similar to other
civilization-building board games but with a much nobler purpose.

The Bible Game: Old Testament and New Testament Board Games (Good)
Bible Sequence Board Game (Excellent)
Draw the cards and work with your partner to get 5 in a row before the other team does. The game will remind you of the Bible events, and there are Scripture references on the cards to look up the stories while you play. If you're looking for easy but fun board games to play, this fits the bill.

Bible Tribond Board Game (Good)
What
do the three clues have in common? Get the answer right, and you're
that much closer to winning this very Trinity-fitting game. While being
mostly just another Bible trivia game, I like the unique style of clues.
Having three clues also makes the game a bit easier than answering
open-ended trivia questions.![]() |

Bible Trivia Board Game (Good)
I like the multiple choice aspect of this game. It gives disciples of every level a better chance at answering correctly and thus having fun. There are also Judgment spaces and cards that do a variety of things when you land on them (not all of them are bad for you).

Bibleopoly Board Game (Excellent)
Like
Monopoly except totally different. In this game, you help your fellow
players and build a church. It's a very fun idea that turns Monopoly on
its head. It's another good one if you're looking for family board
games.

Catholic Family Bible Game (Good)
Though
it says "Catholic," this game is suitable for any believer. And, yes,
it looks dated, but it's still a good game. It's a trivia game with a
board that's set up to walk through the Bible. The nice thing about the
questions is that you can set different players to be on various
difficulty levels, so it really is a family-friendly game and even good
for playing with those who don't know the Bible as well as some other
players.

Champions of Faith Board Game (Excellent)
In
this game, you play as a character from the Bible and have your own
mission to achieve. You work your way around the board, choosing which
direction you go, trying to land on the spaces that will help you
achieve your goal. Meanwhile, every other player is doing something
similar. If you've ever played the fantasy game Talisman, it will feel
very familiar.

Exodus from Egypt Board Game (Good)
The
art is great for this game, and the questions and board are good for
reviewing or discussing the Bible story. There's not a lot of strategy

Faith and Redemption Board Game (Excellent)
I
love this game. First, you race to get the animals on the ark before
the flood starts, then you travel the board seeking to avoid sins and
convert as many people as possible. You have prayer and Scripture cards
to help you along the way. Of course, landing on certain squares grants
you bonuses as well, including forgiveness for sin cards you may have
picked up during the game.

Kings of Israel Board Game (Excellent)
Play
as the prophets trying to rid Israel of idolatry before the nation is
overthrown by the Assyrians! This is a fun Bible game that will get you
into and thinking about the time of the kings and prophets in Israel's
history. There's also a lot of variety and strategy involved, making it a
very solid game. Also, check out the video game version of the game on
PC or Mac!

Miracles and Pitfalls Board Game (Good)
Answer
Bible trivia questions in this game as you move around the board. Get
blessings from the miracle cards to help you, or bad luck from the
pitfall cards. You can often answer the category of question that your
knowledge is strongest in, but sometimes, you'll have to meet the
challenge of answering a category where you might be lacking.

attractive cards and requires a lot of strategy to win against your

The Road to Bethlehem Board Game (Excellent)
This
is a game similar to Dungeons & Dragons in that you have one player
who narrates the story and presents you with options. The difference,
of course, is that it's a game for Christians, and you play as yourself,
not a character you make up. As a team, you decide what to do and
participate in real-life active challenges to act out parts of the
story. The game is set up in chapters so that you'll need to play a few
times before you reach the end of the story.

events.

The Bible DVD Game (Good)
I'm
a big fan of Jeremy Camp, not so much of The History Channel's
treatment of our religion. Fortunately, this DVD game sticks to the
Bible without the secular commentary overshadowing the content. Play as
individuals or teams as you try to answer a variety of questions.

The Bible MiniSeries Game (Good)
This
trivia game mixes drawing with straight questions and answers. If you
enjoyed the series, this game might be right up your alley. Otherwise,
it's still a good game with questions that aren't too difficult, but it
might not have quite the appeal for you if you haven't watched the show.

Bible Scramble (Excellent)
This
isn't your normal trivia game! You have to spell out your answers using
the tiles before your opponents do or you have to pay up in shekels.
And misspellings also earn you a fee. Once you lose all your shekels,
you're out.

Mad Gab: Bible Edition (Good)

for lack of Biblical knowledge.

else or they'll cancel each other out.

Card Video Games
Redemption: Victory at Hebron (Excellent)
This
trading card video game was a real find for me! With a story and 3D
exploration to go with it, this is the perfect game for anyone who
enjoys card battling. The game still looks and runs great today.
Puzzle Video Games
aMazing Bible (Excellent)
This
is a different sort of game that has you moving a red and blue ball
simultaneously through different mazes as you walk through the Bible.
Each maze is different, and you can do different things to get through
them, so you won't get bored easily. It's a fun challenge and a review
of major portions of the Bible at the same.

The Game of the Bible (Good)

Play for free! |
Platform: Android
Publisher: GrupoAlamar, 2017
This
is a simple kind of game that will have you thinking. You have to match
tiles from one side of the screen to the other, but you can only do so
if they're not surrounded. There are multiple ways to solve each puzzle,
and they get more difficult as you progress in the game. With 125
levels, this app will keep you plenty busy. Plus, it's attractive and
has pleasant sound effects and music. The only downside is that an ad
will play after you complete each puzzle.
+ + +
This
is a fun one for those who like movement puzzles. You solve the puzzle
by blowing up blocks and moving the key to the lock. Sounds simple, but
it does make you think. It also displays a new Bible verse every time
you defeat a puzzle. The verses are the real Keys of the Kingdom.

Play
a variety of characters as you walk through the life of Christ,
battling demons and Pharisees. It's a little strange to have Jesus
"leveling up" to learn new miracles, but I understand doing it for the
sake of the game. I also appreciate all the humor in the game.
Matching Video Games
Bible Gems (Excellent)
This
is a well-done computer game that walks you through Genesis as you
play. You'll hear a summary of the stories, accompanied by original
illustrations before each level. And each level is different, adding
variety to the game.
+ + +
Scripture Solitaire (Excellent)
This
is an interesting game in which you have to match parts of the verses
instead of values on the cards. There are also seven modes of solitaire
to explore, so the game doesn't get boring. Memorize Scripture and play a
challenging game at the same time!
+ + +
Stained Glass (Excellent)
This
match 3 game adds beautiful artwork and fully voiced Bible story
narrations. I particularly enjoy the paraphrased Bible stories that the
characters tell you. They're imaginative and add a fresh perspective to
the Biblical text without crossing the line into too much speculation.

Bible Bingo (Good)
Platform: Android
Publisher: TWJ enterprise, 2014
Wow, this game is hard! But it's good if you're wanting to brush up on your Scripture memorization. It will give you a quote, and you have to tap the reference. If you miss three, it's game over. The nice thing is that you can go into study mode in which you can see the verses and references to prep for the next game. The only fault I found with this Scripture memorization game was the pop-up ads.

Platform: DOS
Publisher: Everbright Software, 1992
This is a trivia game that goes beyond the Bible to include classic hymns. You can choose your difficulty level, and when you get the right answers, you'll get a piece of a Bible verse puzzle. When you get enough pieces to name the verse, you win. When you get too many wrong answers, the candle on the left burns down, and you lose.
+ + +
The Bible Game (Excellent)
This
is a fun one to play with your friends. You're competing against up to 3
other players or the computer on a game show and answering trivia
questions or playing mini-games for points. There's a lot of variety in
the content and the mini-games themselves. The graphics have held up
well for a PS2-era game. I'd definitely recommend it as a group game.
+ + +
Bible Quiz (Good)
Wow!
This one is for serious Bible students. It will give you a verse (in
King James!), and you have to choose which book it's from. It's great if
you want a challenge, but this game isn't going to be for everyone.
There are ads, but they're unobtrusive at the bottom of the screen.
+ + +
Bible Sorting Game (Good)
I
really like the concept and arrangement of this game. It presents you
with words to put in order, according to how they're presented in the
Bible. The first level, for instance, has you choose the order in which
God created the different elements in Genesis 1 and 2. In the screenshot
above, I was putting Jacob's children in order by their birth. It's a
simple game, but it's a fun, unique trivia game.
+ + +
Bible Trivia (Excellent)
Platform: Android
Publisher: Christian Games, 2019
There's a lot to like about this game. First, you can decide which category to answer questions from, including Basic Questions (easy mode), or to mix them all together. Then, you can challenge yourself with a game that allows you to get three wrong answers only or set it the game to 5 minutes. Once you unlock it, you can play for an endless amount of time. If you need a hint, you can use the stick of dynamite to blow two wrong answers off the screen. But if you do get a wrong answer, the game will show which is the right answer and give you the option to see the Bible verse it's taken from.

Bible Trivia: Avatar Edition (Good)

by yourself or with up to three other players as you take turns
answering multiple choice questions before your time for your turn runs
out.
+ + +
Bible Trivia Quiz Free Bible Guide (Good)
This is a simple trivia game. The only choice you make is how many questions you want to answer. Then, you have a timer for each question. At the end, it tells you how many questions you answered correctly in what amount of time. There's a good range of questions, so it's certainly worth playing if you enjoy trivia games. It also tells you the correct answer and the Scripture reference if you answer incorrectly. The best part about this app is that there are no ads. The "Free Bible Guide" part comes in when you have the option to give them your contact information and have them send you a printed guide about how to study the Bible. I didn't opt to do so, but from the topics covered, the guide does sound like it would be useful.

Bible Verse Quiz (Bible Game) (Good)
Platform: Android
Publisher: PetProject, 2017
This app has all the makings of a great Scripture reading game. It presents you with a verse in which there is one word missing. You tap on the letters below to fill in the missing word. You're reviewing Scripture as you test your knowledge. If you don't know the missing word, you can use the hint system, where you can choose to fill in a letter, remove unnecessary letters from your pool, or solve the puzzle. You'll also see the Scripture reference, so you can look up the answer on your own. The only problem is that there's a pop-up ad every few verses. It would also be nice if the supplied letters were in alphabetical order instead of randomly placed.

Granny's Bible Dojo (Excellent)
This
is a great game for learning the books of the Bible. Granny will
present the books in a jumbled order, and you have to crack the boards
in order. When you crack one, another will appear behind it. You'll also
hear Granny's instructions and encouragement, so that adds some humor
to the game.
+ + +
This quiz game includes difficulty levels, multiplayer, and various game modes to let you answer a variety of questions or hone in on specific topics. In Race Mode, there's the added challenge of the timer. Besides the classic Church Edition, you can also purchase the African American edition, which adds a little color to the game's artwork.

against the computer or against other players in this game show trivia

+ + +
Learning the Bible (Good)
This
is a fairly simple trivia app, but I like it. It gives you the
opportunity to choose which book and chapter of the Bible you want it to
quiz you on. Then, you can read the chapter before you start to answer.
If you get stuck, you can look at the text again. There are also two
modes, a test in which you answer questions and see your results right
away, or Exam Mode in which you answer a series of questions and see
your score afterward. Exam Mode is also timed, but it's a very generous
time limit. The only detraction from this game is that it's been
translated from another language into English, so some of the phrasing
can be a little awkward.
+ + +
Play the Jesus Bible Trivia Challenge Quiz Game (Good)
Despite
the awkward name, this trivia app is a cut above some of the others.
You spin a dial to land on a category for each question. If you don't
know an answer or want reinforcement, you can click to see the passage
of Scripture referenced in the question. You're also on a time for each
question, so that adds to the challenge, and the sound effects and
animations make the game more addicting than most trivia games.
+ + +
Super Bible Trivia (Excellent)
There
are a lot of Christian trivia games, but this one stands out for its
mini-games. Like some of the other trivia games above, this one uses a
game show theme that you can play solo or versus other players. The
mini-games are fun because they include things like Timeline, Who Am I?,
and Name that Book, which I found particularly enjoyable.
+ + +
Versed (Bible verse game) (Excellent)
Oohhh,
I like that you can play different game modes (Reference, Verse, Fill
in the Blank, and Books of the Bible) on three difficulty settings. In
Reference, you read the chapter and verse and choose which of the four
written texts match it. Verse is just the opposite. You read the text
and choose the reference. In Fill in the Blank, you choose which order
the words go into the blanks. The spacing in this mode is off, but it
doesn't take too much away from the gameplay. The Books of the Bible
game has you arranging the books in order that they appear.
Versed is a different kind of trivia game that lends well to learning Scripture. Plus, you can't lose this game. If you answer incorrectly, it tells you to try again. Going above and beyond what I've seen most apps do, Versed allows you to choose which translation of the Bible to use: NIV, ESV, NLT, KJV, or NASB. Plus, there are no ads. It's a completely free game with nothing to buy and no interruptions. The only thing I wish this app had is some music and sound effects.

Bible Hangman (Good)
This
is a simple game that's fun to play. I was always curious to see what
word or phrase the next puzzle would be. And, of course, once you know
what it's spelling, you're reminded of the book, person, event, etc. The
app runs perfectly with minimal ads, so if you're a fan of Hangman,
give it a try!

Bible Word Puzzle - Free Bible Story Game (Good)
This
is an upgrade of the original Bible Word Puzzle from idailybread.org.
As you complete each set of puzzles, you get an animated picture of the
major stories of the Bible and have the opportunity to read a selection
of Scripture. You can also answer trivia questions for extra points. I
found the game to be fun and addictive. Some of the phrasing shows that
it was written by a non-native English speaker, but there are no
problems understanding the game. The one detractor is that the words
you're making in the puzzle don't seem to have anything to do with the
Bible story.
Platform: Android
+ + +
Bible Word Search (Good)
This
word search app allows you to choose from 8 grid sizes, ranging from 5 x
5 to 18 x 18. You can also challenge yourself by choosing to play a
timed game, or you can leave the timer off. If you get stuck, you can
use a hint (doesn't cost anything) to see the first letter of one of the
words you're looking for.
There is a pop-up ad after you complete each puzzle, but since this isn't a super-spiritual app, the ads aren't a big problem. The only real complaint I found for this one is that while every word is from the Bible, many of them are very obscure. I feel like the words in a Christian puzzle should remind you of a spiritual truth or an edifying story, not merely random names. Another plus would be to have all of the words for a puzzle come from one Bible passage.

I
like the variety of game modes in this app. You can play the standard
word search game, opt to look for one word at a time, or play the timed
version if you really want to challenge yourself. You can also choose
which size your board is. In the above screenshot, I'm playing a
standard game on a large grid. It's a fun, well-put-together game. My
only complaint is that some of the words are too generic to remind you
of anything in the Bible.

This

will remind you of something in the Bible. There are three difficulty
levels to play on, so you can set yourself for the challenge you want.
There are also over 700 puzzles, enough for you to stay busy for quite a

bad, either, so if you like word searches, give this one a try. It's

Daily Bible Word Search (Excellent)
Platform: Brower (Facebook), Android, iOS
Publisher: Planet 316, 2018
Here's
another daily game by Planet 316. While it's still a pretty simple

you solve the short puzzle for the day, it provides you with a brief
devotional to read.

King Solomon's Word Challenge (Excellent)
Platform: PC
Publisher: Planet 316, 2014
This
is a cool 3-in-1 game, with Word Twist, Word Find, and Sling Words. In
all three game modes, you're filling in the missing words of a Bible

I'm
not sure why "christian" isn't capitalized in the title of this game,
but it's a great app to play. There are three difficulty levels, and you
can choose a category. For my first game, I chose King David, so all
the words in the puzzle related to David's life. You can also click on
each word to see some background on it and where it appears in the
Bible, which is a fantastic addition to the game. When you finish each
level, there are quiz questions about the category, another nice touch
that makes this game about more than finding words. There are ads, but
they're unobtrusive down at the bottom of the screen.

This
is a simple game that's fun to play. I was always curious to see what
word or phrase the next puzzle would be. And, of course, once you know
what it's spelling, you're reminded of the book, person, event, etc. The
app runs perfectly with minimal ads, so if you're a fan of Hangman,
give it a try!
Bible Board and Card Games for Children
All Aboard the Ark (Excellent)
I
like this memory matching game because it's cooperative between two
players as you help each other remember where the animals are and
because there's a sense of urgency to it. If you flip over 10 Flood
cards before you find all the animal matches, you lose.

it with Bible stories. Use the game to reinforce your children's

Bible Snap! (Excellent)
This
is another classic card game-turned Bible game. Players take turns
laying down cards in front of them and calling out when they see a match
in front of two players or between a player and the "pot." It's a fun
game that goes quickly and has the added benefit of reinforcing Bible
stories.

Noah's Ark: Don't Rock the Boat! (Excellent)
This
is a very educational and thrilling game for children. They'll learn
about the animals, about decision-making, and about estimating weights
as they place differently weighted animal figurines on the ark, trying
to keep it in balance longer than their opponent can. Each animal has a
fact card that comes with it.

There
isn't a lot to these games, just questions and answers to see who can
get the most points, but they're effective for filling time after a
lesson, spending time with your children, and learning the Bible in an
easy, fun format. Here are some of the games we've come across in this
category.

Publisher: Mark Gossage, 2018
Here's
a short Christian platformer game you can play right in your browser.
Your goal is to collect the Armor of God while avoiding the spikes,
making jumps across pits, and landing on moving platforms. It's a fun
game that doesn't take too long and will give you a good review of the
applicable passage.

The Bible Game (Excellent)
This
is a fun one to play with your friends. You're competing against up to 3
other players or the computer on a game show and answering trivia
questions or playing mini-games for points. There's a lot of variety in
the content and the mini-games themselves. The graphics have held up
well for a PS2-era game. I'd definitely recommend it as a group game.

Charlie Church Mouse

(Also known as Charlie Church Mouse Bible Adventures)
Platforms: PC
Publisher: Inspired Media, Left Behind Games, 2005
These games came out in a number of editions. They were even briefly called Charlie Church Mouse Bible Adventures 1, 2, and 3. No matter which edition you buy, the games are essentially the same within their different volumes.
Each
of these games tells 6 Bible stories along with offering educational
mini-games. The graphics are still up to par with today's standards, and
the games are fun and engaging for young kids. Because they include
different Bible stories and activities within such a close age range, it
would definitely be worth buying all three and letting your kids
explore each one.
Preschool Bible stories: Creation, Noah’s Ark, Jonah, 3 Wisemen, Parable of the Lost Coin, Fishes and Loaves
Kindergarten Bible stories: Elisha & the
Jars of Oil, Nehemiah Rebuilds the Wall, The Story of Queen Esther, The
Birth of a Savior, The Prodigal Son, Zaccheus & the Big Tree
Early Elementary Bible stories: Walls of Jericho, Ruth, David & Goliath, Daniel, Pearl of Great Price, Paul’s Journey to Rome.

I'm
very impressed with this game. Younger kids can enjoy a couple of
different puzzle types and "spot the difference" game while older kids
can play the variety of trivia games. The music is also very upbeat and
catchy. The one problem I have with the app is that there a lot of ads
that pop up when switching from screen to screen.

Here's
another daily game by Planet 316. While it's still a pretty simple
game, I like this one a little more because it's more than a game. After
you solve the short puzzle for the day, it provides you with a brief
devotional to read.

+ + +
The
graphics are great, the voice acting is on par with the cartoon, and
following the storyline of the movie, you'll learn the (VeggieTales
version) story of Jonah. The game is composed of mini-games, though,
which might be a nice touch of variety for some people but lacks a
cohesion of gameplay for me. I don't think many children will mind that,
though!
+ + +
A Journey Towards Jesus (Good)
This
trivia game gets high marks for including a story. You are accompanying
a young man named Eliab to find Jesus so that he can ask Him to heal
his sister. The quiz questions are fairly easy, and there are also some
word scrambles and other simple puzzles mixed in for variety.

Lightgliders (Excellent)
![]() |
Purchase a monthly or yearly subscription |
Platform: Brower
Publisher: Kingdom Scene, 2017
Lightgliders
is much more than a game. It's an all-in-one website with children's
devotions, animated and live action videos, and mini-games. The games
are either about training your character to be a Lightglider or sending
you out on missions to rescue Gliddles, cute little creatures of the
world who are lost and harassed by the evil machines. Everything
contains a lesson and is based on Scripture.
Kids can
spend a lot of time on this site, so it's definitely worth the
subscription price for as long as your kids are interested. There's also
a companion app you can get for Android or iOS.
The app is free, so it can provide a good introduction to Lightgliders
if you're not sure if your kids will take advantage of the full site.

MightyNoah Adventure Game (Good)
![]() |
Play for free! |
Platforms: Android
Publisher: Doroncreations Inc, 2018
This
is a pretty fun reaction game. You swipe the ark left and right to
avoid dangers and collect coins, health, and shields. The scenery and
obstacles and varied and look great. The music adds to the sense of
adventure. When the durability of your ark gets too low, you can either
pay coins to restore it and keep going, or answer three trivia questions
to keep going. You can also watch an ad, but there is no invasive
advertising. I don't think this is a game that will keep your attention
for long, but it's fun to try out and see how far you can get floating
on the waters of the flood.

very loose rendition of the story, though, as Noah changes form with
different power-ups and even fights some rather interesting bosses.
Noah's Ark: 2 by 2 (Excellent)

Platform: Kindle
Publisher: Truth Gaming LLC, 2013
This
memory match game presents the story of Noah's Ark with the challenge
of a timer to complete the round. You can also use power-ups to help you
get a peek at the cards and complete the round faster.
+ + +
The
theme of the map is Noah's Ark, and the player gathers two of each
animal in this memory game, but the ties to Noah's Ark end there.
There's no teaching in this game. It's simply level after level of
matching animals. And with that, it does quite well. There is a lot of
variety in the animals as well as how many cards are on the board, so
the challenge does increase the further you go.
+ + +
Noah's Elephant in the Room (Good)
Ride
Noah's elephant through the Ark, avoiding Noah's sons, who are trying
to ruin his good time. If you want to a boost, you can memorize Bible
verses and upgrade your elephant. It's a fun game to play around with,
but don't expect it to keep your attention for long. Thankfully, it
doesn't have to since it's free to play.
+ + +
Listen to the story of and play a variety of mini and educational games based on Noah's Ark.
