Free Bible Trivia Games for Adults
I've ranked all of the free Bible trivia games for adults that I've played. There's quite a collection.

I was excited about this game but became quickly disappointed once I started playing. You choose a category, then type in your answers. In my playthrough, I was supposed to name 7 things that had to do with Jesus' birth. The nice thing is that it accepted "shepherd" for the answer it was looking for "Flock." But it did not accept quite a few of the answers I thought it would, including "angel," "Mary," "virgin," and "census." You can ask for a hint, but it will cost you coins, and do you know what they want you to do to get more coins? Watch ads. No, thanks. And with no way to know which correct answers will be accepted, I won't spend any more time with this one.

Bible Bingo (Good)
Platform: Android
Publisher: TWJ enterprise, 2014
Wow, this game is hard! But it's good if you're wanting to brush up on your Scripture memorization. It will give you a quote, and you have to tap the reference. If you miss three, it's game over. The nice thing is that you can go into study mode in which you can see the verses and references to prep for the next game. The only fault I found with this Scripture memorization game was the pop-up ads.

BibleMania - Christian Trivia (Fair)
This might sound counterintuitive, but this app is too gamified. You earn points, have lives, and can buy coins that help you answer or skip difficult questions. The questions, however, are very easy, so you won't need most of the game's features if you're familiar with the Bible. If you're not familiar with the Bible, you're probably not going to be playing this game. One nice feature is that you can choose to read the verse that the question is based on after you submit your answer. There's are also a fair number of pop-up ads and an emphasis to watch advertising videos to get in-game perks. Overall, I wasn't impressed and wouldn't recommend spending too much time on this one.

Bible Quiz (Good)
Wow!
This one is for serious Bible students. It will give you a verse (in
King James!), and you have to choose which book it's from. It's great if
you want a challenge, but this game isn't going to be for everyone.
There are ads, but they're unobtrusive at the bottom of the screen.

Bible Quiz (Poor)
The
only good things about this trivia game are that there are two game
modes and that it runs well. The game modes are Endless and Timed. The
Timed mode should add an element of excitement as you try to answer
questions as quickly as possible, but it felt unfair because I could
barely read the question and possible answers before my time ran out.
The mix of questions also seems unfair as there are some very easy ones
mixed in with those that are way too hard. There are also way too many
advertisements.

Bible Quiz - Free Offline Trivia App (Fair)
When
you start a game in this Christian trivia app, you choose between Old
and New Testaments. You must then score enough points in each level to
unlock the next set of questions. The problem is that some of the
questions are wrong. For example, one question asked me to finish the
title of the book, "The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the..." Well,
depending on how your Bible names the books, any of the given answers
would have been correct. Paul wrote the letter to each of the choices:
Romans, Philippians, Colossians, and Galatians. Romans, however, was the
only answer the app would accept. I discovered that by using the hint
system. If you get stuck, you can pay 10 coins for a hint, and it will
take away one of the wrong answers.
I would rate this app higher if I could trust the accuracy of the questions more. I also wasn't a fan of the screen that pops up and tells you your score after every question. It simply delays getting to the next question. It would be better to see your score somewhere in a corner on the question screen.

Bible Sorting Game (Good)
I
really like the concept and arrangement of this game. It presents you
with words to put in order, according to how they're presented in the
Bible. The first level, for instance, has you choose the order in which
God created the different elements in Genesis 1 and 2. In the screenshot
above, I was putting Jacob's children in order by their birth. It's a
simple game, but it's a fun, unique trivia game.

Bible Trivia (Excellent)
Platform: Android
Publisher: Christian Games, 2019
There's a lot to like about this game. First, you can decide which category to answer questions from, including Basic Questions (easy mode), or to mix them all together. Then, you can challenge yourself with a game that allows you to get three wrong answers only or set it the game to 5 minutes. Once you unlock it, you can play for an endless amount of time. If you need a hint, you can use the stick of dynamite to blow two wrong answers off the screen. But if you do get a wrong answer, the game will show which is the right answer and give you the option to see the Bible verse it's taken from.

Bible Trivia Christian Quiz (Poor)
I
like the variety of questions in this game and the fact that there is
an Endless and Timed mode to give you a choice of whether you want the
extra challenge of racing against the clock or not, but there are way
too many ads in this app to be enjoyable. I couldn't even click to start
my first game before a video ad for another app started playing.

Bible Trivia Game Free (Poor)
The
one good point of this app is that whether you answer correctly or
incorrectly, you can read the Bible reference to refresh your memory. On
the downside, the questions are very difficult overall. Second, you
only get to answer two or three questions before another pops up. Some
you can exit out of right way, but others, you have to watch before you
can close them. You can pay to not see the ads, but I would recommend
skipping this one altogether.

Bible Trivia Quiz (Fair)
I
like that there are three difficulty levels and various achievements to
earn. The questions are fair, and when you get a wrong answer, it
highlights the right one so that you can learn from your mistake if
you're so inclined. Still, there's not much to this game, and there are
too many ads for my taste.

Bible Trivia Quiz Free Bible Guide (Good)
This is a simple trivia game. The only choice you make is how many questions you want to answer. Then, you have a timer for each question. At the end, it tells you how many questions you answered correctly in what amount of time. There's a good range of questions, so it's certainly worth playing if you enjoy trivia games. It also tells you the correct answer and the Scripture reference if you answer incorrectly. The best part about this app is that there are no ads. The "Free Bible Guide" part comes in when you have the option to give them your contact information and have them send you a printed guide about how to study the Bible. I didn't opt to do so, but from the topics covered, the guide does sound like it would be useful.

Bible Trivia Wheel - Bible Quiz Game (Fair)
Platform: Android
Publisher: DS Software, 2017
The presentation of this game isn't bad, but the focus on getting points is ridiculously distracting. It feels like you're only answering questions about a third of the time. The rest of the time, you're watching the wheel spin or your points add up, or dealing with a pop-up of some sort. Yes, you can skip all of those things, but that just makes the game too clicky. Over all, my opinion is that it doesn't put user experience first.

Bible Verse Quiz (Bible Game) (Good)
Platform: Android
Publisher: PetProject, 2017
This app has all the makings of a great Scripture reading game. It presents you with a verse in which there is one word missing. You tap on the letters below to fill in the missing word. You're reviewing Scripture as you test your knowledge. If you don't know the missing word, you can use the hint system, where you can choose to fill in a letter, remove unnecessary letters from your pool, or solve the puzzle. You'll also see the Scripture reference, so you can look up the answer on your own. The only problem is that there's a pop-up ad every few verses. It would also be nice if the supplied letters were in alphabetical order instead of randomly placed.

Holy Bible Quiz - Test Your Christian Faith Trivia (Fair)
The
questions in this trivia app are good, but it's lacking a lot of the
functionality of other free quiz games you can play. First, there's no
way to see the Scripture the question was taken from. You can narrow
down your choices, but that doesn't help your learning much.
The only goal of the game is to get the highest score, and you can keep playing until you answer incorrectly three times. There are also a lot of pop-up ads that break up your gameplay without warning. I do appreciate the rotating artwork displayed behind the questions, but it would be better if the art went with the question. The text itself could also use a little polish with spaces inserted after commas.

Learning the Bible (Good)
This
is a fairly simple trivia app, but I like it. It gives you the
opportunity to choose which book and chapter of the Bible you want it to
quiz you on. Then, you can read the chapter before you start to answer.
If you get stuck, you can look at the text again. There are also two
modes, a test in which you answer questions and see your results right
away, or Exam Mode in which you answer a series of questions and see
your score afterward. Exam Mode is also timed, but it's a very generous
time limit. The only detraction from this game is that it's been
translated from another language into English, so some of the phrasing
can be a little awkward.

Play the Jesus Bible Trivia Challenge Quiz Game (Good)
Despite
the awkward name, this trivia app is a cut above some of the others.
You spin a dial to land on a category for each question. If you don't
know an answer or want reinforcement, you can click to see the passage
of Scripture referenced in the question. You're also on a time for each
question, so that adds to the challenge, and the sound effects and
animations make the game more addicting than most trivia games.

True or False? (Bible Quiz) (Fair)

Versed (Bible verse game) (Excellent)
Versed is a different kind of trivia game that lends well to learning Scripture. Plus, you can't lose this game. If you answer incorrectly, it tells you to try again. Going above and beyond what I've seen most apps do, Versed allows you to choose which translation of the Bible to use: NIV, ESV, NLT, KJV, or NASB. Plus, there are no ads. It's a completely free game with nothing to buy and no interruptions. The only thing I wish this app had is some music and sound effects.
